Scanner won't run on Windows 11

I have an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner that I can't get to run on Windows 11. I did an install with the disk that came with the scanner, then downloaded the latest driver update from Epson, but when I try to run it, I get a message saying "Can't communicate with scanner." Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I really need to use this scanner.

For Windows 11 change the "Epson Scanner Service" from "Automatic" to "Manual" Startup type and make sure the

"Windows Imaging Acquisition" service is at the default "Manual" (Trigger Start) setting.

[Original poster] This is still my experience. I can get it to work, but every time I have to scan even a single page I have to jump through all these hoops (and sometimes it takes more than one time). Sometimes I have to run Troubleshooter as well. The driver that Epson posted for Windows 11 is the same driver posted for Windows 10.

I have Epson ES-400 and have a similar issue.

Clean Windows 11 install on a new Asus Z690 motherboard.

Trying different USB ports didn't help.

When the computer is turned on, and I want to scan something, it says scanner is not found.

I have to go to Windows Settings, delete the scanner, power cycle the scanner.

Windows rediscovers the scanner, and it works.

The problem happens again after computer is shut down.

    No help from Epson support.

It sounds real simple. Haven't looked at the App yet--will plan on it though. Right now if, or when, my scanner acts up I found that simply rebooting the computer (although sometimes I need to actually shutdown and restart) will get the scanner functioning again. Thankfully, it doesn't happen that often anymore.
