Random Mouse Stutter/Lag Windows 11

I was wondering if you found a solution since your reply here - it seems like I have the exact same issues, tried to fix them with my limited tech knowledge, but the lag is there and it's driving me nuts. :(

I have the same issue, although it doesn't restrict itself to office apps. I never had this problem with Windows 10 using exactly the same hardware and software install (drivers, may be newer though).

For me, and what is more frustrating, is that my keyboard locks up intermittently. Sometimes it will lock up for a second or two and then catch up, but other times, it just stops responding for 10 seconds or more and all input is lost. Nothing works with the keyboard when this happens but the mouse still does, so the receiver itself is working fine. It doesn't appear to be an issue with the keyboard. Both the mouse and keyboard are Logitech and both are using the same receiver, so I don't think it is a Logitech problem either.

Something about Windows 11 is behaving differently from Windows 10 (with regard to stutter/lag), but tracking this down the root cause has not been easy. One difference in Win11 configuration vs my previous Win10 is that I am using Edge as my primary browser.

Hi ... I wish I had something concrete to tell you, but alas ... I have had some results editing the power plan, most helpful has been setting to Default or Balanced. Though this really doesn't make much sense as I'm using a desktop. Sometimes it seems just making a change works ... for a while till it doesn't. Then I just change it again. Thanks for posting a reply. After many Google searches and trying different settings on my computer, I'm sad to say I still have the problem. I have no idea why, but the problem disappears for weeks on end only to pop back up for several days again. I have found that I can sometimes temporarily end the mouse jitters by rebooting the computer, however that does not always work.

What is odd is that it's only a problem on my desktop (Lenovo) and does not appear on my laptop (also a Lenovo). So, at this point, I'm forced to live with it and cross my fingers that a future Windows Update will help.

I have multiple users on one PC and have the same mouse lag on all users except the admin user. If I change the normal user to an administrator user, the problem goes away.

Hopefully someone can come up with a fix, so I don't have to make all users an administrator. :-(

I started having a problem with my mouse pointer than was moving randomly/juddering from bootup, not having changed/installed any software that I was aware of. "Checking for updates" temporarily solved the problem, it was not necessary to install any updates, just check for them.

I have a Logitech keyboard and Microsoft wireless mouse, I found that when I removed the Logitech applications from my start-up list the problem was resolved and has not had an adverse affect on my keyboard and thus far not returned. Maybe a quicker solution than the Clean boot process suggested if you have Logitech kit. I should have noted the software that I removed but didn't unfortunately but it is identified as originating from Logitech.
