- yes here it is first you must be using your pin to login.. now login with your pin and then go to setings accounts ... sign in options,, open up the PIN hello.
now select change my pin and leave everything blank.. they want your password to confirm.. confirm and exit... restart the computer..
now it will ask for your password to sign in.. sign in using the password...
- go to settings.. account.. sign in options... hello PIN. .. in there was that greyed out box, remove, if that box is not greyed out and is active, by that I mean you can click on it. click that box.. remove.. and do whatever they say.. password.. get out of that..... restart the computer again...
- now we are gonna use the run box... windows r and that box pops up then type in there what everyone says netplwiz and another box pops up.. right there uncheck the password sign in box... click apply.. ok.. type password in if it asks.... exit that... restart your computer.. you should boot into windows no pin or password
AND remember to do step 2.. that's very important.. that darned remove box is activated sometimes after that first step... step two is the step that holds step 1 and 3 together... if the box is greyed out when you get there or is says create a PIN.. you are ok to go to step 3 .. if not click that darned remove box.
I can't tell ya how important this is.. if you fail you must start over from the beginning... there may be be two accounts when you boot up.. choose the one that has your password
try em both... then go in and make a pin do the netplwixz thing recheck the password box apply blah.. restart the computer.. start over with step one
SO IN BRIERF
you must eliminate the pin option first and make the computer sign you in with your password.. by that first step in the process that;s the key there.. force the password issue because there is no pin.. you eliminated that earlier... and of course the pasasword removal via the RUN box...
PIN first...... password second.... hope this all helps.. I just did my new computer this morning... I did this last month on a lenovo tower but couldn't remember what I did.. now I remember..... took me about 2 hours to figure this out.. frustrating but rewarding once you get it..
I hope this is clear.. don't be afraid if you have to start over... I had a hard time with the lenovo tower figuring this all out last month
