I understand it's for the security reason and that the reasons are good. The last version of windows allowed you to make the choice of having the extra step or turning it off. I would just like to have that choice, and make the decision on my own.
How do I turn off PIN login on Windows 11?
When I go to the "remove pin", the button is grayed out. I contacted HP tech support & they said that's a software issue. I was able to turn it off in Win 10, but when I rec'd my new laptop that was supposed to have Win 10 installed, it turned out to be Win 11. Anyone have a fix?

If your desktop is stolen, the power turns off. When the thieves plug it in, they don't know your password so the files in your account are secure. So are all the websites that open automatically as you have your passwords stored in Edge -- perhaps retirement accounts and similar.
