When I go to the "remove pin", the button is grayed out. I contacted HP tech support & they said that's a software issue. I was able to turn it off in Win 10, but when I rec'd my new laptop that was supposed to have Win 10 installed, it turned out to be Win 11. Anyone have a fix?

There is no "Input Options" in the left column. It just isn't true, and you know it. Anyone who isn't intentionally lying, able to answer OP's question?

edit: solved it: first reset your pin, even though you have no intention of using it. Then, the remove option becomes available. Microsoft really, really, REALLY wants you to use a pin instead of a password, so it's no surprise their representative here is trying to confuse everyone with pure <removed>

I am sorry, but I see no "option account". What am I supposed to select from those documents, pictures, etc. that comes up when pressing Windows/1 button?

That was really helpful as I had a sign-in problem earlier in the day. Thanks so much

I too would prefer to remove any login requirements upon startup. I live alone. I almost never go anywhere, because I'm disabled. I want the thing to just turn on and be ready to go. Especially when I have to do setup/update stuff requiring numerous restarts.

I'm fed up with Micro$oft, and seemingly everyone else, trying to impose unnecessary security inconveniences on me against my will.

It is impossible to disable the pin in Windows 11 according to a reliable IT person.
