When I go to the "remove pin", the button is grayed out. I contacted HP tech support & they said that's a software issue. I was able to turn it off in Win 10, but when I rec'd my new laptop that was supposed to have Win 10 installed, it turned out to be Win 11. Anyone have a fix?

In step 3 above, you say select "Input Options", but the only option I see that is close to that is "Sign in Options"

Also, I have done this step before, but when I turn on my computer it keeps making me create a PIN, I have no choice.

Now, I can't even "remove" the PIN sign in option. I don't want to be able to sign in with a 4 digit PIN option, I want to use a more complex password, but MS keeps making me create, and use a PIN, which is not near as secure if someone steals my laptop.

There is no "Input Options" in the left column. It just isn't true, and you know it. Anyone who isn't intentionally lying, able to answer OP's question?

edit: solved it: first reset your pin, even though you have no intention of using it. Then, the remove option becomes available. Microsoft really, really, REALLY wants you to use a pin instead of a password, so it's no surprise their representative here is trying to confuse everyone with pure <removed>

    Hi mate.

I did it! I found what you said trying a lot of things...

For everyone who haves the same problem, THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY TO FIX IT:

Use Remove PIN Using ‘I Forgot my PIN’ Option, leave in blank the new PIN code and select I will configure it in the future...

    Thanks.

Hi, I am unable to login to windows. After a bios update, the machine reset the PIN login. After inputting username and password, it then requires that you input a verification code sent via email. NO CODE IS SENT. No code continues to be sent. Even selecting to cancel a request, you must verify with A CODE which never gets sent. UNABLE TO ACCESS COMPUTER. PLEASE HELP!
