Hello, I am inquiring about an issue I can't seem to solve (without turning HDR off all-together, which defeats the purpose of having it even be an option in Windows 11)
In recordings (primarily using OBS) and in screenshots (with snip and sketch) everything appears extremely over-exposed / bright with HDR enabled. This is a big problem for me as I actually, well, want to use the OS normally. I record lots of clips and take many screenshots and I've finally gotten fed up of it and am now looking for a solution. Any help appreciated, thanks
(snip and sketch has since stopped doing it, however it likes to do it randomly now. commonly happens in fullscreen programs and also my web browser for some reason)

Microsoft is apparently getting ready for an update with HDR support/awareness. The DirectX 12 team put out a Tweet Nov 9 (also see here on yahoo! finance) saying that it is being released into the Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels. When that translates to a full public release is unknown at this time.

So Microsoft CANNOT even provide a decent screenshot function for Windows 11 Pro, a $200.00 operating system ???
This issue just re-appeared on my Windows 11 with HDR on. I had solved it previously with sRGB forced on Chrome as I only take screenshots for work-related purposes and I'm obligated to use Chrome (which sucks, use Mozilla or anything other than Chrome/Edge instead).
The problem re-appeared after I performed a system restore after my thunderbolt port decided to stop working and it was due to a windows update that broke my laptop's USB drivers and all my custom configs were gone afterwards.
I haven't been able to take a clear screenshot since the sRGB feature in Chrome no longer works after this.
'WIN + ALT + Print screen' works for me where the sniping tool is over exposed. Just have to crop it in editor after i've taken it.
Still not right :(... I have to bring it into something like Photoshop or Affinity Photo and then adjust the exposure down a stop or so to get it to look right. The captured image is also blurred for some reason, so text is harder to read..
