Happening since ~six months on my side, too. Since Windows 11, never experienced it on Windows 10. On another machine, brand new Windows 11, sound is also suddenly lost. But back to keyboard. The problem is, we all have different keyboards. To compensate for this part, I purchased new Dell keyboard to compare. The problem persists. Additionally, I changed USB hubs, USB cables, connected different ports, etc. -- the problem persists. This, according to my testing and evidences, is a Windows problem. Then, removing/update/reinstalling HID/USB driver does not work at all or change anything for the better. Related to this, but similar "input issue": if heavy work is performed with BT-mouse (brand new, expensive Logitech), then, sound output is sporadically and often impacted and distorted. Never had this issue ever before, this system is running smooth like butter since years. I do not want to relate those two, BUT all of this is happening since couple of months. My machine has not change, it is very powerful device, and the only thing that changes is Windows software (in background). Microsoft must tell us and start investigating, if there were any changes on lower layers or interfaces. The keyboard issue is NOT happening on a brand new Dell machine of mine, BUT there is the sound issue (suddenly breaking - completely lost, must reconnect USB) and also there, my investigation tells me, it is a Windows issue. This "keystroke-stuck" issue is so bad, it can (does) risk you doing anything wrong to your machine. I had several documents significantly damaged, because suddenly hundreds of characters were inserted. But this is not only chars inserted in documents, it also happens inside settings or other option boxes; really a complete mess. With over 30 years of IT/Windows experience, surprise me.
Random keys act like they're stuck even though they're physically not
I just bought a brand-new laptop a couple of weeks ago with Windows 11 on it but from day 1 I've been having issues with the keyboard. For example, if I hold down the down arrow button or W key too long sometimes, the window start button activates. If I'm casually typing or scrolling on the web, sometimes either shift, ctrl, windows, or fn key (I haven't been able to verify which ones specifically are the issue but it looks like it's different ones at different times) acts like it's stuck so if I click on something, the computer thinks I'm holding down the shift, windows, etc. key + whatever key I pressed. Sometimes I can't even type anything because of this.
If I lock myself out of my account and then log myself back in, it goes away temporarily so the problem only happens when I'm logged in because the keyboard never does this on the sign in screen. Even if I use an external keyboard or even the on-screen one, it still does the exact same thing so it seems to me it's a software issue and not a hardware one. I've tried updating the keyboard drivers and mouse drivers and uninstalling and reinstalling them. I turned off sticky keys and all that but still nothing. The keyboard troubleshooter has found no issue either. Would appreciate any help with this.

2024-02-02T01:11:32+00:00 When this happens it’s been tied to sound as well. Sound issues no matter if hdmi the native sound card or bt. It’s frustrating. I just had it come back after a week. I had to reboot to work normally again. I find using my usb webcam speeds things up So it has to be tied into usb
