Many persistent errors in Event Viewer after Windows 11 build 22598.ni_release.220408-1503: "Autopilot.dll wil error was reported"

I used to be part of the the Windows 11 Insider Beta channel. After updating to build 22598.ni_release.220408-1503 I began to see the same error in Event Viewer extremely frequently:

The errors are all the same and read as follows:

Autopilot.dll WIL error was reported.

HRESULT: 0x80070491

File: onecoreuap\admin\moderndeployment\autopilot\dll\dllmain.cpp, line 128

Message: NULL

I have never used any program called Autopilot or Modern Deployment. After seeing this problem I immediately left the insider program and am now queued for enrollment. However no new Windows update has happened and these errors persist. How do I prevent these errors?

    Good day everyone,

    Back in May of this year I bought a new larger SSD drive for my PC. At this point I decided to do a clean install of Windows 11 Pro. Since this install I have not had the Autopilot error at all. Three months since the clean install and I have downloaded all of the updates that MS has pushed out and the error has not resurfaced. I know a clean install is a real pain but for me it did fix the issue.

    Another couple of months and we shall be at the first anniversary of this thread being posted, still no actual acknowledgment from MS of problem & solving. People here are reporting MS are aware and working on it - surely time now that it should have been resolved. If they are taking this long, no confidence in anything they do as this is of their own making, why should us users have to suffer the consequences!. Conclusion, as always, is this had been intentionally released for some ulterior motive, farming private info etc. again.

    I had a similar problem a couple years ago and fought it for about 2 months before buying a new machine with the intention of giving the other one to my daughter if I ever got it fixed. I poked around with it for another 6 months which I think translates into about 60 to 80 actual hours work. And then one day for I don't know what reason I had an idea to reflash the BIOS. It worked. So you might want to give that a try before you spend any more money.

    Over 6 months since this thread started - still no response I have seen from Microsoft - par for the course. We are only mere users - why should MS care about problems we are suffering due to their actions.

    I have also joined this hell hole sponsored by Microsoft after upgrading to Window 11 from 10 ..
