My Headphone Jack no longer works after upgrading to Windows 11. It works if I have it plugged in and reboot, but as soon as I unplug it stops until a reboot....it does not automatically detect it

    I had the same problem. Turns out it is because I keep all startup services disabled including Realtek Audio services. Now once I have enabled it shows a notification on bottom right corner asking "which device you plugged in?" and selecting Headphones in it makes it work now.

    Hope this helps.

    That was the solution for me thank you so much!

    1. CRTL + ALT + DEL
    2. Startup apps
    3. RtkAudUService64.exe or similar -> enable
