Heya, thanks. How did you figure out it was the Pause key? I was trying to use notepad, onscreen keyboard etc to see what key might have been interfering.

I have a Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic wireless keyboard for a few months now. I run Windows 11. I did the last update on my computer yesterday and since then the keyboard randomly stops working. I tried using the solutions on this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/microsoft-sculpt-wireless-keyboard-intermittent/576defc3-634a-4a6a-9793-230dcc447f77 from 2018, but nothing works. It's the same issue : I have to remove the batteries, wait a bit, put them back in and the keyboard works again. When the keyboard doesn't work, the number pad still does as does the mouse. It's my work computer so I don't have all the access for the Command Thing. Right now as I'm typing, the keyboard is randomly activating and de-activating some shortcuts despite me not touching anything but the keys to write.
What do I do ? I've done all the updates, I've run the Hardware & Devices updates/troubleshooting and nothing is helping.
Infos about the computer :
Acer Spin 513-52N, Edition Windows 11 Home, version 21H2, OS build 22000.613 64bits (I'm not sure which infos you need).

2024-05-03T04:16:22+00:00 Both times when I fiddled with the sticking key a bit and to get it unstuck, the problem of the keyboard disconnecting (despite the number pad working) went away - no more taking the batteries out and putting them back in every time I stopped using the keyboard for a few minutes.

I hope the previously 10+ pages are all responding to this post. For reasons none of us can understand some of the keys get stuck. My was the 'PrtScn' key. Lots of pressing and some careful cleaning has seemingly free'ed the key. But it does feel as though it's going to get stuck again.
Open notepad and check every single key.

2024-05-20T18:54:45+00:00 Yep. Exactly what happened to me. Couldn't figure out which key was stuck at first. Then realized when I took out the batteries and then put them back in, the calculator would appear, giving me a clue as to what was sticking. Used a thumbtack to get under the calculator key and pop it up. Sure enough, that solved it.

2024-05-25T09:16:08+00:00 So I went through some of this thread and then skipped to the end so not sure if someone mentioned this solution already but what helped me in the end was cleaning the battery contacts with vinegar. They looked fine on a quick look but when I reallz looked closely I saw they were actually corroded. Maybe this will help someone else.
