Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard stops working randomly (but not the mouse nor number pad)

I have a Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic wireless keyboard for a few months now. I run Windows 11. I did the last update on my computer yesterday and since then the keyboard randomly stops working. I tried using the solutions on this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/microsoft-sculpt-wireless-keyboard-intermittent/576defc3-634a-4a6a-9793-230dcc447f77 from 2018, but nothing works. It's the same issue : I have to remove the batteries, wait a bit, put them back in and the keyboard works again. When the keyboard doesn't work, the number pad still does as does the mouse. It's my work computer so I don't have all the access for the Command Thing. Right now as I'm typing, the keyboard is randomly activating and de-activating some shortcuts despite me not touching anything but the keys to write.

What do I do ? I've done all the updates, I've run the Hardware & Devices updates/troubleshooting and nothing is helping.

Infos about the computer :

Acer Spin 513-52N, Edition Windows 11 Home, version 21H2, OS build 22000.613 64bits (I'm not sure which infos you need).

    So… I left the keyboard for a few months, upgraded to Windows 11, and it’s working again for the last few days. 🤷‍♂️

    I’ll reply here again if it breaks.

    Eureka... it's looks like it is all about Wi-Fi dongle - Microsoft 2.4Hz Transceiver v9.0

    I have this combo (sculpt ergo) for only 1 month when it started to working randomly and than stopped.

    After batteries / drivering / plug-in and out, replacing usb ports, remove/install the Microsoft Keyboard Center app (feels like bloatware), looking at OS event viewer and other sites, cleaning Device Manager from exist and hidden --> nothing changed.

    When it worked for a second I test the keyboard at: https://keyboard-test.space/ - no stacking key in any row as suggested on other post.

    When I got a nasty message saying: Unknown USB device... code 43, and evet ID: 131, it takes me to the next level and moving from my work Lenovo laptop to my Lenovo home laptop. Firstly it was behaved the same, BUT after play with the flimsy Wi-Fi dongle and two more plug-in/out it started to work. Going back to my work laptop and made it - I hope it will stays like this, time will tell...

    I trusted Microsoft hardware for years but that is my last round with them OR they will learn from Logitech how to create sturdy small dongles. As much as I like Microsoft ergo keyboards, this is simply unacceptable :/

    You did good getting 2 years of use. I have user with only a few months of use and some keys stopped working or had to reset bluetooth.

    After reading through a lot of replies it seems it's down to the keys, quality of the keys, and some maybe getting stuck.

    The problem for me was that certain keys weren't working, like S, H and ALT.

    I disconnected the keyboard, took out the batteries, rubbed the keys back and forth with a cloth just to loosen them up and un-stick any.

    After that, using the on-screen keybaord, I could see the Alt key was working, but barely: it worked on some presses, light or hard. At one point I kept my finger down on the key and wobbled it, and I could see the one-screen key flicker. If I helt Windows + Alt, the success rate was higher but not always 100%.

    This was after disconnecting all other USB devices, by the way.

    I'm conlcuded in my instance that the keyboard quality simply isn't very good. It has only lasted 2 years, which is a shame, as it's a nice keyboard. I'm back to using my other 10 year-old keyboard. :/
