the phone link app is just getting in the way.

I simply want visibility of the phone files in file manager in my PC, then i can transfer them across.

I need to back up my mobile to the PC and clear it

the only thing to do is uninstall the app and do it another way.

The simplest solution is to go back to Windows 10 and use File Manager.

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Of COURSE MS would not create the most basic feature that EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE WORLD would EXPECT even the most BASIC of photo apps to have...

Why would they... They haven't actually FINISHED a piece of software in DECADES!!!!

I mean REALLY! Why even HAVE Photos as part of the app if you can't do the absolute MINIMUM functionality...? GAWD!!!!

UPDATE: See teateateatea's post below for confirmed work around using the Phone Link > Gallery App > click and hold for multi-select then drag to your folder solution.

You dont need to turn on your phone screen. Just long press 1st photo from gallery in Phone Link. It will mark it and then you can click other photos and drag and drop them.

Thanks. But, why only 50? I have 2,500 photos. What is the limit for this method? Seems like I saw a limit of 500 which might not be too bad if it would auto select 500. And no auto-select, the best I can do now is select each day until about 500 but that is very cumbersome since there are a few pics each day and I have 2-3 years worth. Wish we could select by month.

Update, I'm able to move 99 at a time. 100 or more doesn't work.

For those stuck, you need to find the open phone screen on the computer apps tab/option. Then you can select (up to 500) the photos on your computer/phone window on the computer or the phone. On the computer/phone window, right click for a few seconds then drag them to a folder on your PC.
