Cannot enable Core Isolation in Windows 11 due to incompatible drivers

Core isolation on Windows 11 not possible, in my case, because of these drivers

I tried to find them in Windows/Sys32/drivers (as suggested in other forums) and deleting them but with no success so how can I solve the problem allowing the activation of core isolation?

Hi,

Here is what typically works for most of the users who know the driver name as it is mentioned in Windows Security. Apparently, Microsoft changed/updated the incompatible driver list recently, which has ended up this issue for most of the users.

Method 1:

You can get the list of drivers by running this command in the elevated command prompt:

dism /online /get-drivers /format:table

After that, Make note of the Published Name (ex: "oem13.inf") of the driver that is shown as problematic.

Then use the pnputil command to delete the driver from the device:

pnputil /delete-driver <Published Name> /uninstall /force​

Please note that running this command would remove the device driver and the next time you use the device, it would not work. Reinstalling the driver might help.

Method 2:

Another alternative is using Autoruns to delete the driver. Download it from here:

Run it as administrator.

Go to the Driver tab, locate the driver and delete the same.

    Hello, I know I'm about a month or so late on this one but the problem I've been having is one that I haven't seen any others having nor any fix online either. So, I've been running Windows 11 since its release and never had a problem with Core Isolation. I did however run into a problem with Windows Update failing the update over and over again, I spoke to Microsoft three different times even allowed Remote Access to no avail, so I reset my pc with a fresh install of Windows. Once I reset with a fresh install, my problem with Windows Update went away. A week later there was an update for Windows 11 again but for a version I hadn't heard of (22H2), a couple days after installation I noticed my pc started to run extremely slow/buggy and started having problems with game crashes and O/S freezes that required Reboot. That was when I started to notice out of nowhere my Memory usage was extremely higher than usual, which was weird as I've never had a memory issue with the 16gb RAM that I have but even at Desktop with all apps closed, all non-pre-installed apps (All except Windows Security) closed from the system tray, as well as every single task I was able to end that didn't mess with my system, yet my pc was using 25-35% Memory while completely Idle. This was when I also noticed Windows Security requiring action through the System Tray, to find out Memory Integrity was no longer on with there being no reasoning (no listing for incompatible drivers) whatsoever. This was new and confusing to me as memory integrity had always been on before, and I didn't notice until a point where I couldn't pinpoint whether it was the fresh install reset or the update to the windows 11 22H2 that caused the issue I've been having. As mentioned earlier, there is no listing for incompatible drivers in windows security nor when I use cmd as admin, the error claims that 'Standard hardware security not supported' that my device "does not meet the requirements for standard hardware security" to be capable of memory integrity, which is completely false. I can't try to delete or find any incompatible drivers because I don't know which drivers I'm looking for, unfortunately, since it will not list any for me. Any idea on what I can do here and/or have you ever heard of such an issue from resetting or an update to a new windows version that could cause this problem?

    I just received a Windows 11 update. Before the update I couldn't enable "core isolation" due to a driver problem. I followed all the directions given to remove the incompatible driver and still could not enable "core isolation", and the computer would not restart. If I performed a hard shutdown, and then restarted the computer it would work with the "core isolation" not enabled. After the windows update, same thing. I use Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. Is my computer unsafe without "core isolation" since I don't seem able to make it work?

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    There is a Samsung's driver shown in the picture, may I ask whether you hava tried uninstalling the Samsung app?

    You can remove these incompatible drivers in safe mode.

    Press Win+I - Windows Update - Advanced Options - Recovery - Advanced Startup - Restart Now - Troubleshooting - Advanced Options - Startup Settings - Restart - Select 4 or F4 - Enter Safe Mode without Networking.(restart to exit Safe Mode)
