Wireless Display Adapter Custom Wallpapers

We have recently upgraded our Microsoft Wireless Display Adapters to the latest available firmware 2.0.8442 to take advantage of the ability to upload custom wallpapers with our company branding. They are the Version 2 adapters with the Microsoft Four Square logo and we are using the latest available Windows 10 app version 4.227.139.0. The process to upload the custom wallpapers/backgrounds on each adapter took a little time to succeed and worked best after performing a reset of the adapter using the client software however while the custom wallpaper is displayed when the adapter is first powered on after a period of time (10+ minutes) it is replaced by the inbuilt landscape wallpapers.

How do we remove the inbuilt backgrounds and just display our own image or images?

    Hi in the Wireless Display Adapter software you download to your PC you should be able to upload one image - the issue is that it will only show for the first 10 out of 30 minutes with the two other Microsoft ones showing at the 10 minute and 20 minute mark.

    In addition to that issue, I can't seem to upload any image, I don't know if there is a limitation on size/resolution or something.

    Even without my custom image, I would like to be able to chose which of the default one shows up without rotation

    Hi Manson. I have the same issue, it is very frustrating. No problems uploading the custom wallpaper from my stand alone windows 10 PC. I am using the latest firmware and app from the windows store. After 10 min, it resets to the standard image. This seems to be a bug?

    Hi, firstly let me say that this product is excellent and great value, but I agree that the Wallpaper function needs extra work.

    I also would like to have it either just stick on the uploaded image or the ability to remove the standard ones and replace with a range of uploaded ones to save on screen burn. The images rotate at 10 minute intervals and it rotates between my uploaded image and two of the standard Microsoft ones.

    Ideally an option settings should be added to either;

    1 - just display the uploaded image

    2 - ability to circle between all images

    3 - ability to upload more than one image and delete any image

    4 - ability to circle between selected images

    5 - ability to change the duration between rotation

    6 - ability to change the image displayed at a set time / date to enable signage on the screen

    At the moment with the auto-rotation it means that the uploaded image is only displayed on the first 10 of every 30 minutes.

    I have the same issue. It doesn't make sense that we can upload a company wallpaper if Microsoft is changing them automatically to the standard wallpapers in the Screensaver mode. Rather we would like to upload 5 company wallpapers. rgds Frank
