Windows Fax and Scan, Cannot print faxes to printer

I have been facing this problem for about a week now.

Faxes are working just fine. I can send and receive faxes without problem.

I can save those faxes and then print them if needed. But the problem is that I cannot print them directly from the application as I were able to before. I see the printer being detected by the application but when I hit the print command, nothing happens.

Any help will be appreciated.

    We are having a similar issue. I'm running Windows 10, started within the past week. Sending and Receiving faxes work fine, but when I print a fax I received in Windows Fax and Scan to my HP printer, nothing happens - no error message, no print job appears in the print queue. All other apps print fine to the printer, and the "Print Test Page" works fine from the printer's properties dialog.

    Also, If I print a fax to the "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer, it asks me for the filename as usual, but the pdf that is created is 0 bytes long (it's empty.) Again, other apps and the Test Page work fine while printing to this printer.

    And yes, I have restarted the computer multiple times, but no change. This problem appears to be in the Windows Fax and Scan application and not the Windows print subsystem. Any suggestions?

    No chances of driver failing at the same time on two devices are very very low but a chance of a particular windows update causing issues with driver files is more.

    On checking the model number for any updates there is a firmware update released by Lexmark for your printer on 16 September. Please download and install it in one machine first : https://support.lexmark.com/content/support/en_...

    I am having the same issue. Which started with the three faxes I received yesterday 09/20/22. I have another fax in my inbox that I was holding onto from 04/26/22. Interestingly that fax will print out no problem, but the three from yesterday I cannot print to my printer or to a pdf file. I also went to my sent faxes and can print the faxes that I sent as recently as 09/19/22. I am very frustrated as I need to respond to these faxes.

    I have an Epson Workforce 845 and I don't see any update required for it. And as I said, it is printing everything received/sent prior to 09/19/22. It looks like my most recent Microsoft update was 09/16/22
