Windows 11 || Remove work or school account

Hi All,

I am using windows 11 home. I want to remove the work or school account as I am not using that account anymore. But I am not getting an option to remove the account from my system. I am not using that account in any of the apps and all the apps related to that account are deleted.

I searched online for the same. Usually, the option is to right-click on the account and delete it. But I am not getting that delete option.

Please let me know how to proceed.

In the attached screenshot, the account highlighted in maroon is the one which I want to remove.

    NO There is no Disconnect option at all. So would there be a different option.

    This has worked for me like a charm, I have been browsing everywhere on the web how to disconnect my old work email with my personal account in this particular laptop ... great post, thank you so much.

    Are you sure you're in SETTINGS > ACCOUNTS > ACCESS WORK OR SCHOOL? You have to click the little arrow to see the DISCONNECT button.

    Oh my gosh, thank you! This should be pinned as a top answer. Hours of researching how to remove his with repeated pop ups and you solved it!

    It is not necessary to have access to the Work or School account you want to remove. The only requirement to remove it, is to be logged on with administrative privileges on your computer.

    You can logon to your computer with a local or Microsoft account that is in the administrators group, as described in the article above.
