Windows 11 || Remove work or school account

Hi All,

I am using windows 11 home. I want to remove the work or school account as I am not using that account anymore. But I am not getting an option to remove the account from my system. I am not using that account in any of the apps and all the apps related to that account are deleted.

I searched online for the same. Usually, the option is to right-click on the account and delete it. But I am not getting that delete option.

Please let me know how to proceed.

In the attached screenshot, the account highlighted in maroon is the one which I want to remove.

    Thank you so much, I had the same problem ever since I've had my laptop fixed. I didn't check the "Access work or school" section so I was confused when apps detected my school account but couldn't log in. Thanks a lot!

    Hi! I actually found this fix myself. When you're in Settings > Accounts, scroll down to Access work or school and you'll see the work/school account listed there. You'll be able to remove it from that settings panel, vs Email & accounts. Hope this helps!

    For WINDOWS 11, you have to CLICK the account in order to see the disconnect button. Then you can disconnect. There is no arrow, right click, or anything else on the page to suggest that you just click on it but that is it.

    Hope this helps the new Windows 11 crop of questions.

    If you see the account, CLICK on it, then you'll see the disconnect button. People are responding that are still on Windows 10 and it is different in Windows 11.

    This doesn't work in Windows 11. The screen doesn't look like this. You have to just click on the account, then you'll see the disconnect button.
