Windows 11 || Remove work or school account

Hi All,

I am using windows 11 home. I want to remove the work or school account as I am not using that account anymore. But I am not getting an option to remove the account from my system. I am not using that account in any of the apps and all the apps related to that account are deleted.

I searched online for the same. Usually, the option is to right-click on the account and delete it. But I am not getting that delete option.

Please let me know how to proceed.

In the attached screenshot, the account highlighted in maroon is the one which I want to remove.

    I'm glad I'm not alone trying to figure out how to deal with this issue. The process of tying school and work accounts and associated policies to machines not owned by those organizations is hopelessly broken when it comes to removing the relationship later. Microsoft needs to document a process better than "reimage the machine".

    I don't have nor can I get administrative privileges to the ******@unimail.winchester.ac.uk email account - I was only a student, not a staff member. I have the above email address linked to an account which I have no access to anymore, having graduated almost two years ago. my other email has a remove button but the unimail email doesn't have a remove button, so how do I remove it. Microsoft you are not being very helpful. It is extremely frustrating to me, as someone who has ADHD. You are not making my accessibility easy.

    The disconnect button for WINDOWS 11 shows up after you click on the account. All the screenshots have been for Windows 10.
