Windows 11 || Remove work or school account

Hi All,

I am using windows 11 home. I want to remove the work or school account as I am not using that account anymore. But I am not getting an option to remove the account from my system. I am not using that account in any of the apps and all the apps related to that account are deleted.

I searched online for the same. Usually, the option is to right-click on the account and delete it. But I am not getting that delete option.

Please let me know how to proceed.

In the attached screenshot, the account highlighted in maroon is the one which I want to remove.

    I already had a personal account and Office apps, but could not get rid of old connection to work school account. Windows kept saying I had a problem with the work school account, but I was avoiding logging in.

    I had to log in my work account to see it in the Accounts > Access Work or School so it could be disconnected. The Disconnect button appeared and I used. Did not have any further prompting about alternative account since my personal account was already in use and my main account.

    I do not know how you would work this if you no longer had access to the associated Work or School account. But since I did, a combo of the above and the linked article was the solution

    Okay, let me be more precise. I have a work account logged in, where the work group has been banned, terminated, and no longer valid. I cant contact the admin because they also no longer have access to their work group. So now, how do I remove the account from my OWN PERSONAL computer?

    Thank you so much for linking that post with easy-to-follow instructions!
    I kept trying to remove my school account since May 2022 when I graduated but finally that post showed me how, thanks again.

    Try just clicking "start" and start typing "Access Work or School" and open that if it doesn't show up under "Accounts" like below. There you will have a disconnect button. "Email and Accounts" lists them but no disconnect button. This is confusing design, IMO.
