How to disable noise suppression when an application is using the microphone.

Hi,

Whenever an application is using my microphone, all the audio that plays gets suppressed and muffled and nearly quiet, there was an option to disable this before, but I just don't know how to disable it.

Disabling the options such as Audio Enhancements will make it normal for around 2 seconds before it becomes muffled again.

    I have a dell inspiron 27 abd i solved the problem.

    You first have to do what is current on windows, enable the noise suppression and tell windows not to do anything . (see the tutorials in the precedent post)

    Go into maxxpro and enable the speakers and noise suppression. disable the noise suppression after that.

    In zoom you must use the original sound for musicians...

    One more time...yes I have tried all of the above and STILL!!!!!!!!!!! have the same stupid problem. The enhancement????? does NOTHING to enhance... it mutates voice.. it is not an improvement. Talk to any sound person, the suppression alters, and then as everybody!!!!!! is telling you, it destroys music. This HAS TO GET FIXED!!!! TURN IT OFF!

    I have a Dell Laptop with Windows 11 ,, if you have a fix... let me know.. neither Microsoft support or Dell knew how to kill the suppression. If I find the golden goose I will let everyone know.

    Thanks for your effort but no I have tried all the above and no magic change has solved this insane issue. These so called enhancements ruin the quality of the recording. Still searching. There has to be a solution.

    I have the exact same problem, with a Dell laptop unit, and I have spent HOURS with both Dell support and Microsoft and Nothing!!!! I do has any impact on the suppression. This has to be the most lame software modification ever! You have ruined the microphone as as an input device, this stupid inane addition was not in Wndows10. It changes even the voice, and it will not let the first note of a piano past the suppression. Gad this is frustrating. Yes I have turned everything to off, the so called enhancement is off, but STILL the suppression is active. I will try again with support. Maybe the next person will know the problem and the solution. HOURS on the on line chat and Dell support. Nothing!!!!!! Fix it with an upgrade.
