How to disable noise suppression when an application is using the microphone.

Hi,

Whenever an application is using my microphone, all the audio that plays gets suppressed and muffled and nearly quiet, there was an option to disable this before, but I just don't know how to disable it.

Disabling the options such as Audio Enhancements will make it normal for around 2 seconds before it becomes muffled again.

    I'm a sound engineer and use sound to light features.

    This is driving me crazy. I've just got the windows 11 sofar and it renders half my equipment redundant.

    I'm going to try a usb hub with it's own audio inputs

    I don't seem to have the tab you call enhancements and they're is no option to cancel audio suppression.

    I'm furious after spending a load on upgrades and I can't use it

    If this didn't work, I managed to fix it by using the search box in the bottom left to find 'Realtek Audio Console'.

    Once you've found that, launch it and go down to the Recording Devices section, find your microphone, and turn off 'AI Noise Reduction'.

    Thanks a lot for the reply, and apologies for being slow to reply, but unfortuntately this didn't solve things for me.
    As I wrote above; I uninstalled realtec audio console all together. I did first open it and looked for those settings to turn off as you suggest (because someone else had suggested it as well), but I didnt have those settings. It was a rather empty console with few to no choices to be made. I therefore deleted the entire app, just to be sure.
    I don't have that extension in chrome as you mention either.

    NOTE: I SOLVED THIS EXACT PROBLEM - HERE IS HOW I DID IT

    1. Open Realtek Audio Console (search in Windows)
    • go to "Speakers"
    • TURN OFF "Speakers Noise Cancellation (Voice call)"
    • go to "Headphones"
    • TURN OFF "Speakers Noise Cancellation (Voice call)"
    1. If you have the extension (I did) on Chrome, disable "Disable HTML5 Autoplay"

    This totally solved my problem after torturing me for months!
