How to disable noise suppression when an application is using the microphone.

Hi,

Whenever an application is using my microphone, all the audio that plays gets suppressed and muffled and nearly quiet, there was an option to disable this before, but I just don't know how to disable it.

Disabling the options such as Audio Enhancements will make it normal for around 2 seconds before it becomes muffled again.

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

You need the app to disable noise suppression when using the microphone right? Let me help you.

You can try the following.

  1. right click on the taskbar sound icon &gt; select "**Sound Settings**" &gt; **More Sound Settings** &gt; right click on the currently used microphone device &gt; **Properties** &gt; switch to the "**Enhancements**" tab &gt; uncheck "**Noise Suppression** " 

  2. Right click on the taskbar sound icon &gt; select "**Sound Settings**" &gt; **More Sound Settings** &gt; switch to the "**Communications**" tab &gt; check "**Do nothing**" &gt;Apply &gt;ok.
