Hi Juliet,
I am having the same problem and Stephano.
How do I identify which application is causing the error message?
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
My PC keeps giving me a message that says, "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for this PC check with software developer." I disregarded it the first time and just closed it but it keeps coming back. I've looked for solutions everywhere and none of them work. I feel like I've been having problems all the time ever since I upgraded to windows 11. I don't know what to try anymore to get rid of this.

Hi Juliet,
I am having the same problem and Stephano.
How do I identify which application is causing the error message?
The problem is, I don't know what app is causing it. I will close all apps, and walk away from the computer and a minute later it pops up again. I go to Task Manager and don't see any apps running. I run virus scans and it says clean.
Thank you SOOOOOO much for this !!!!!! I've spent so many hours trying to find a fix it is mind boggling!
That message popped up every time I signed on to a new Windows 11 session (but not when I just unlocked the screen on an existing one). It just started up when signed one day after I did a Restart, even though I had NOT manually installed any new software. I also saw it on occasion upon closing a browser (Chrome or Edge). I made sure Windows 11 (including Edge and MS 365) and my Dell PC's software/firmware, plus my VPN and backup apps were all up to date - no help. (Obviously it was something that was on auto-update.) I emptied, checked and restored all apps that were in the startup directories, so I knew it wasn't the usual problem people talk about. I removed Chrome from my PC - no help. I did consider blowing and re-installing off McAfee, but I've used McAfee to protect my PCs for decades and didn't think there was any way it was anything of theirs. However, I removed WebAdvisor by McAfee when I got your Reply and (BANG!!!) no more stupid "This app can't run..." errors. Then I re-installed WebAdvisor over the web and (so far) I have not seen anything that causes it. Apparently, McAfee doesn't update that one when it updates the rest.
Have you notified McAfee about this?
I deleted a steam app and seems to have stopped. I think one of the steam games was causing my issues.
I'm running Widows 10 and am having the same issues. When I try to change Compatibility, Windows 10 isn't even an option. Windows 8 is the newest option available. Bios battery is brand new. Any clues as to what's going on yet?
