Autopilot.dll WIL error

So this issue has been going on for almost a month now,event viewer is showing tons of these errors,i have 3 windows 10 installations and in each the error is there.Even tried to do a clean install on my main pc today to see if it would go away but to no effect.

This is the error:

Autopilot.dll WIL error was reported.

HRESULT: 0x80070491

File: onecoreuap\admin\moderndeployment\autopilot\dll\dllmain.cpp, line 178

Message: NULL

I searched a bit trough the comunity and found out that there are tons of people having the exact same problem.

    It looks like I was wrong when I said resetting the TPM didn't fix this. I just looked at my Event log and all my autopilot errors have stopped. But, for some reason, they stopped the day AFTER I reset my TPM. Odd. But, I guess I'd suggest others do the same thing (make sure you turn off Bitlocker first if you have it on) ....But, why it took all day, through multiple reboots, I don't know.

    I don't know your OS version or build number, but if you haven't already done so you might want to disable your Fast Startup power option (see instructions <here> for Win 10 instructions or <here> for Win 11). Fast Startup (also known as hybrid boot-up / hybrid shutdown) can prevent services and drivers from loading properly at boot-up and cause all sorts of glitches and unexpected problems. Microsoft has even acknowledged that Fast Startup can even interfere with Windows Update (see the MS support article Updates May Not Be Installed With Fast Startup in Windows 10) and I always suggest that users with a Win 8.1 or higher OS should disable this feature.

    I didn't clear the TPM in Windows prior to re-installing; just disabled it in BIOS (which also disables it in Windows).

    Good point about Bitlocker. I had actually forgotten that when I disabled the TPM and suddently couldn't boot past Bitlocker without entering the recovery key.

    Thankfully, Microsoft automatically keeps a record of the keys generated by Bitlocker in your MSFT user portal and you can get them by going to: aka.ms/recoverykey and entering your account info.
