Hello,

My wife and I recently started seeing some emails in code. We both use Yahoo Mail. She has Window 10 and I have 11. Does anyone have a possible solution to fix this? These emails are from trusted sources and sometimes they are not in code. Any help appreciated!

Thank You!

Yes, I do a similar thing.

If I forward the important mail from my actual yahoo website email account to the same email address (sending it to myself in effect) it then appears correctly on my Windows mail laptop!

The glitch therefore is related to the original email sender(s).

To re-cap, some emails are fine but others appear as HTML code in the Windows Mail app.

However, if I forward them to myself from the yahoo website or from anywhere where they appear normal such as from my android phone they then appear as normal on my Windows Mail app.

Great idea! Nice of Microsoft to allow us to troubleshoot our common problem together and come up with a solution that does not include using their product. Since they are not interested in fixing the problem they, in turn, became part of the problem. So, a different Mail Client is a Great Idea. Let's give all the credit to the Great Minds at Microsoft. Good Job Guys!!

This issue with receiving emails from trusted sources in code is an irritant; even more so for those of us that aren't computer whizzes. We have to put up with inferior service (or lack of), from Microsoft.

I too have tried all the recommended "fixes" for this ongoing problem.

You would think with all the engineering prowess MS has available that they could quickly and easily fix this problem, but I guess since it doesn't involve any additional $$ they're not interested.

Meantime, I'm still seeing html and not text on most emails from Yahoo. And many Yahoo emails sit in the que and never open.

Yes it's a **** response. I'm not an advisor! I was hoping someone had a solution. Microsoft told me to uninstall and reinstall the app but that didn't work...
