Issues with receiving emails in code for Yahoo Mail

Hello,

My wife and I recently started seeing some emails in code. We both use Yahoo Mail. She has Window 10 and I have 11. Does anyone have a possible solution to fix this? These emails are from trusted sources and sometimes they are not in code. Any help appreciated!

    The thing is all my received emails are perfectly visible & decoded on the Yahoo website but some are not in the Windows Mail client on my laptop.

    However, when sending that same email from the Yahoo website to youself at that same address it then appears fully visible & decoded in the Windows Mail client on my laptop. It sits in the same inbox as the original email sent earlier from the original sender which still won't appear properly.

    It gets tedious having to keep on logging into the Yahoo website and sending emails to yourself to get them to appear properly on your laptop/ computer...

    I don't think it lies entirely with the sender. My friend has Windows 11 (like me) and uses Mail for Windows (like me) but receives emails from our same golf club in plain text whereas mine is in code. However, he does not use Yahoo. Soooo...... maybe it is a combination of certain settings on the sender's computer not being decoded as it goes through Yahoo and ultimately processed by Mail for Windows. As it would be impossible to get all large organisations to change their settings, it seems the fix must lie with Yahoo/Mail for Windows.

    Hi again.

    Yes, It started with me on both of my laptops at exactly the same time a few months ago so something must have happened then. Maybe a Windows update? I contacted Microsoft and they said to uninstall and re-install the Windows Mail app. It's part of Windows so I don't think it actually uninstalls as such in the same way that other apps do...

    If you go to the Yahoo website and send that unreadable email to yourself it then does download okay into Windows Mail.

    Therefore the fault lies with an issue regarding who sends the email not the actual email itself.
