I am struggling to get Phone Link on windows 11 to utilise the headset I use for my PC as the speaker and Mic for calls made/received in Phone Link.
All my drivers are up to date, I am using Astro A50s which work for all other aspects of mic/sound (these are wired to base, 2.4ghz wireless, so not bluetooth headset) and a Samsung Galaxy S21.
Sometimes when I receive a call, the phone notes that it is using the PC for bluetooth output, and I can hear the the audio, but the mic doesnt seem to work.
Would love for this to be resolved so I dont need to change headsets everytime I want to go from Zoom call to phone call.

I am here on this thread because I have never managed to get my wired headset to work with phonelink. I just get silence. I have changed my system settings to the headphones. What I can't understand is why there are no audio settings within phonelink for you to see what it thinks the sound settings are.
Ohhh, I wasn't aware I needed a bluetooth headphones. I uninstalled Phone Link to try and reinstall it to see of that would work, but then Phone Link disappeared from my MS Store Library, and it doesn't
show up in the Store Search. Maybe it will show up again, it did before. Thanks for the help Joe, I really appreciate it.

Phone Link seems to always use whatever the default audio device is and offers no ability to select an audio device on Windows. That is truly unfortunate. It should be possible to select a preferred audio device for calls, or at the very least use the "communication device" specified in the set of audio devices on Windows. Teams and Skype (and third-party applications) allow one to select audio devices. Phone Link, for whatever reason, is locked onto the default audio device only.
I guess the "good news" is that it should work, but you have to ensure your default audio device is the Bluetooth headset.
That's why I removed MS Phone link.
Why can't I use my Bluetooth headphones on my PC to get calls from the Phone Link?
The Phone Link does not currently support relaying a phone call from your Android device to a headset over Bluetooth.
