After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.

Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

After the bios update in the activation page on settings it showed me the 0x803f700f error.

After clicking troubleshoot and then selecting "I have changed my hardware recently" it would

come up with an error about contacting the activation servers.

I just got it working after talking with microsoft support by:

    1. Opening up the Microsoft Store from the computer.
    2. Logging in (or logging out and then in again - in my case I was not logged in the store after the bios update).
    3. Restarting the pc.
    4. Run the troubleshooting again for the activation and clicking on the I recently made a hardware change prompt.

It worked after that and the activation run smoothly.

That is the incorrect. This problem is not "very rare." It happens regularly to many different systems. The only seeming common denominator is that the user updates their BIOS.

Looking at Linux this morning in case the worst happens.

Everyone! Do not update your BIOS unless it is a first boot on an initial build.

This is turning into a nightmare for users and MS is MIA!

With the new features I do not want (AI, Chat, Bing, Co-Pilot etc) this is becoming a less attractive OS even though you just have to push the easy button.

Totally disagree with you on this one,

BIOS is there to be updated by design. and MS has to get their **** together regarding licensing issues it worked before without issues, so it has to work again.

This is sole MS issue and their wicked licensing policy.
BTW I changed to 14th GEN I9 14900K so updating my meg Z790 ACE BIOS was a MUST!
