After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.
Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

Manderson's solution worked perfectly for me.
After wasting hours with MS tech support, every single time they told me my only option was to purchase a new copy of windows.
This worked perfectly and I now have updated bios so my usb 3 ports work properly again.
I have the same activation problem here. My mobo is a MSI Pro Z690-A wifi ddr4 ATX LGA 1700. I built this pc in May 2022, and I've updated the BIOS several times. But back on March 8 2024, I updated for the first time in maybe 6 months using the files provided from MSI support. That's when this activation issue started up--on Windows 11 Home. I got onto the MS support chat and even gave them permission to screen share (I know I know..) while I had him on the phone. He decided that a reinstall was the way to go---so we did that, and it didn't work. He also said that MS was well aware of the issue and something should be coming out in a windows update in the next month. I'm going to hold off on doing the script thing until that time has passed, but I'm happy to read that so many have had success with it.
