yes, and it didn't matter that TPM workaround doesn't work, at least it didn't for me.

After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.
Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

2024-01-13T22:30:14+00:00 The workaround was used by Microsoft tech support too, even if was an unofficial script, as reported in an article I linked a few pages before.
The curious thing about your post is you want to be certain about a workaround, and still you're using an OS which give you 0% control of what it does under the hood. The script simply do what tech support can't (or wont): give you the right to use a software you paid for, broken after a legitimate upgrade of the BIOS.
I gave up after 4 ticket opened in a month, all of them closed and flagged as 'resolved' when they did solve nothing, they never answered, and they still look to the other side leaving this well known issue to be. So I used the script as many did, and I'll use it again if a future BIOS update trigger some issue
Simple as that...

msi Z790 ACE Motherboard.
I suffered tremendously with this issue, and I couldn't resolve it with all mentioned methods like reg edits, scripts, whatever until I found a way to get in contact with human MS support person after a series of BOT/AI dogging.
However, that ended up in almost 2-3 weeks of mailing back and forth partially due to the fact I didn't allow them remote access to my PC and I would never allow it to anyone as Im skilled enough to handle everything necessary.
That resulted me having collected specific LOG files and sending them to the support contact.
Next, they requested me to go to the bank and get a written statement and stamped from my bank where the specific MS Store transaction was visible with date and everything else, then I had to scan it and watch this ...send it in Microsoft Word format.
So, after I provided everything requested It seems the support did "something" and now my Win 11 Pro account is restored, and I changed like 3-time Bios versions on my msi Z790 ACE and the Windows kept ACTIVATED.
Before that it was a nightmare every time I update BIOS , PUFF! Windows show they have to be Activated and nothing I did or try could get it Activated, prompting me to buy NEW Windows license.
