After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.
Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

I have the same issue with Windows 10 after doing a hardware upgrade and updating the BIOS of the ASRock Z790 Pro RS. Windows gives me the error 0x803FABBD and when I use the troubleshooter, click the "Changed Hardware" button and select my device there, it says, it was already reactivated but it's not. I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10, so I don't have a key.
So for those experiencing this issue, I tried following this video that others have mentioned in this thread, and since I'm doing this after updating my BIOS, as stated, this method won't work.
So in the meantime I'm twiddling my thumbs hoping MS Customer Support will respond to my support requests.
First of all good luck on that, I'd like to know if this procedure works. Posting a feedback could be useful for other users.
@DarkoVojinovic: I have the same windows key, you can find a bunch of them online cause their are temporary keys, and they need to be linked to a
Microsoft account to work properly. I guess that your key ends with 9MPGT-3V66T
There's a new bios revision for my mobo. I'm on Windows 11 now, so that fills me with terror. I'm going to try this TPM thing. Wish me luck!
I read of a procedure that should avoid this issue with windows licensing (sadly too late), and specific for MSI motherboards, at least on the post he was using this brand:
- Enter in bios and disable TPM
- Log windows: you'll face the procedure of new pin and stuff
- Check if windows is still activated (as it should be)
- restart and update your bios
- log in windows and check again
- after all that you can enable tpm again
In your specific case, it is highly suggested to save windows key somewhere safe.
I tried this method and my activation problem is still there, but I can confirm the fact that only the first time you follow the procedure above, windows asks for a new pin and new log in you microsoft account. Tried a couple of time and nothing changed for me.
According to that post/video (can't remember, I'll post a link when I find it again), once you disable/enable tpm, and change pin/re-login microsoft account, you'll be safe for future bios update

First of all, thanks for your sharing and the amount of patience you have.
I have no intention, though, to waste a single minute more of my life dealing with a totally unprofessional support. It does not exist, that it.
I hope any in this forum and everywhere will be able to solve this issue, one way or the other. I did what some Microsoft 'tech support' have done, using a third party software to unlock the stuck license, which I payed good money as you did, and I have all invoices microsoft should be asking for.
For now everything is working properly on my machine, even though the issue wasn't fixed by the official support, I'm ok with that. Hopefully microsoft will wake up from the lethargic deep coma and finally acknowledge this is an issue affecting many of their (paying, once more) users. I put the emphasis on the 'paying' point, just to balance the times troubleshooter suggested me to fix the issue buying a license, just assuming I had a pirated copy of my OS.
I don't know if I will be able to use again this license since I tend to change pc once every decade or so, but to be honest I don't want to think about it since now
