That's frustrating, and the lack of support from Microsoft is just unexcusable.
Are you able to see your pc in your Microsoft account? What about the devices list during the activation troubleshooter?
My actual situation is I can see the new desktop only inside my Microsoft account under devices (together with the old one and the laptop), but it just doesn't show up when using the activation troubleshooter. It only lists old desktop and the laptop, and I'm unable to activate the license back to my old desktop.
I used the license transfer from old to new desktop weeks ago with no issue at all, but as i described before the bios change messed up somehow with the license process, showing twice the new desktop both on toubleshooter and the account.
Probably my biggest mistake was to delete both instances of the new desktop from the microsoft account, but what can you do if activation process do not work?
I opened a new ticket hours ago, and guess what? No support call yet. I'm curious to see how many tickets a customer should open to, at least, speak to a technician. Solve the problem will be a completelly different stuff.
Let's see, I'll keep updated this post
