Can't access bios or advanced startup on windows 11

Solved for me. I was facing the same issue. Unable to see Advanced startup option on blue screen and also BIOS/UEFI. Tried CMOS reset, plugging out all peripherals except CPU and reinstalling again, changing display resolution to lower value, down graded refresh rate to 30 fps. All in vain. There were two options left to try

1. BIOS reflash
2. Reinstalling windows 11

All attempts to reflash bios were failed as no screen showing up as that was the problem to begin with.

   Turned out Id enabled the AMD freesync from the native monitor settings which caused this whole issue.. Once I turned of AMD freesync from monitor settings menu, I was once again able to see the Bios. Please note that I was able to access windows 11 is throughout this period. Somehow AMD freesync is not comfortable with displaying windows Advanced startup option and bios/uefi. Please disabling AMD freesync or equivalent display altering settings from monitor and/or gaming software. Hope this helps.

Same issue here. And it 100% with Windows 11 OS, because i just switched to it and before on Windows 10 all was fine! Whats going on, Microsoft? After update bios i can log into it by pressing F10, but as soon as i log into Windows 11, switch off and turon on my computer - thats all! No boot logo, no any message prompt to log into bios. But if i press DEL or F2 to enter, it stucks with blank screen! So annoing! What should i do to change my bios settings - every time reflash my bios? Seriously? Repeat - no such problem with Windows 10! Tried all things - cables, monitors, graphic cards. But only thing helped - reflash bios (thank u asus for flashback button!). But after logging into windows 11 it says - no bro, if u want to change ur settings, reset ur bios every time! I'm burning

I came here looking for a solution as well.

I haven't read all the posts, but I just discovered the 'fix' for me. I just installed win11 on 'unsupported hardware' using Rufus, and lost the ability to access the BIOS so I thought it might be related to Rufus, but it's not. Here's what fixed it for me.

I disconnected the win11 SSD (clean install on new SSD) so I could see the BIOS. Poking around in the BIOS, under 'advanced' I found ACPI Configuration (which is apparently a way to set 'sleep' levels), and disabled it. Next boot, I could see/use the bios entry page, but the boot after that, I was getting 'waking from hibernation' and booting straight to win11 again, even though the bios ACPI remained set to 'disabled'. That bootup 'waking from hibernation' splash screen still showing up made me suspect that win11 was monkeying around with my bios settings, so....

I searched for how to disable hibernation and found this Microsoft troubleshooting page showing how to disable hibernation. Following the instructions (don't forget to 'run as administrator'; even the default admin account won't run as admin unless you force it) seems to have cured the problem for me. Hope this helps someone else.

I've been having same issues ever since changing form 32gb DDR5 (GSkill) to 96gb DDR5 (Corsair w/micron). When I change my monitor DP input to 1.4 (from 2.0), I get BIOS Everytime. If I go back to DP 2.0, it boots straight into Win11P.

So anytime I need BIOS, I just switch to DP 1.4. However, this can't be normal, and since it started with my new RAM, I'm left to assume it's doing something weird. Hope this helps others.

Long short story. I finally bought my own machine, which, because I am a geek, I assembled myself. OC is not an obstacle for me, so after the entire installation and after several unsuccessful attempts to enter the BIOS, I started to wonder why I spent so much money on equipment that I cannot configure myself.

However, after a long and tedious reading of all your posts regarding refreshing, fast boot, etc., I found the reason!

Well, in my case, having an Nvidia card and a Samsung monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate, it helped... changing the version of the DisplayPort connector! In order for me to use G-Sync, I must have the connector set to class 1.4. Changing to class 1.2 solves the problem!

However, what surprises me is that I tried to connect my different monitors using various methods, but it didn't work every time. Resetting the CMOS when removing the battery from the motherboard helped temporarily.

To sum up, thanks for the guidance and I hope my solution can be useful to someone!

Interesting because I just posted going from 2.0 to 1.4 and it worked. Therefore it doesn't seem to be dependent on DP version, but rather just a change? I also have Nvidia G Sync fwiw
