Asus TUF Gaming F15 wifi driver suddenly stops working (MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 Wireless LAN Card)

After I install the latest Windows 11 update, my laptop now loses connection and goes missing in the settings.

I tried uninstalling and reinstall the driver from the Asus support website and the issue still occurs. Is this a common occurrence for this laptop or is it just me?

Hope there is a solution before I send it to the repair shop as a last resort. I'm currently on USB Tethering using my old phone just to connect for the time being.

Hey, my fix in 'power management' did not help, so I came back here and looked for another solution and this is what I found: Turn your computer off, and then push down on the power button, and hold it down for 60sec. Then it will do its normal reboot and it will be ok after that. I'm not highly tech savy, but I have two of these laptops that are almost identical and I had the same issue with both of them. I tried this fix, and I have not had the issue again in either computer for a week now.

    I hope this helps you.

I have the exact issue now. My network card is Intel AX201.

I have no idea what's wrong with my laptop and it started behaving weird since 2 days --- there were some windows updates.

Every time one of the following actions gets my wifi working:

    • removing Armory Crate
    • Reinstalling wifi drivers and then performing a network reset >>> then rebooting the laptop
    • setting power management to Off in power options

And the wifi can go off anytime. So it doesn't make any sense?!

Does anybody have any working fixes? Do we need to install Windows 10?

    Thanks.

The mobile hotspot on my laptop was never turned on. I guess I'll wait for the fix just in case the update was actually what caused it.

    Hello SorB_,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

The latest update has an issue with wifi drivers causing wifi disconnections if you have hotspot turned on in settings.

If you have try switching off the feature untill a fix has been released for the issue.

Press windows key and type in hotspot

    Press enter.

Turn of the setting that says "Mobile hotspot"
