I'm trying out just removing gamingservices now. I've reinstalled windows, updated BIOS, run SFC and RestoreHealth commands, and every other solution in the book with no luck for the past month. And I do not have a Ryzen CPU (Intel i7 9700k). My motherboard is an ASRock Z-390 4cb. I don't want to do this as I was just going to use GamePass on PC and I do not own an Xbox, but the constant crashing leaves me no choice. Will update if it continues.
piece of **** windows crashing Game Input reconfigure
Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Microsoft GameInput. Product Version: 10.1.22621.1011. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation crashes PC
Any solutions known? I've looked and nothing has worked so far but they are old posts. This has been a problem for years now and the muppets at microsoft have done **** to fix it.

Hey everyone! After months of frustration i finally resolved my issue by buying a whole new cpu, i had a used ryzen 5 3600 and i believe it was faulty. After installing a brand new ryzen 5 5600 my system has ran perfectly with no problems. It sucks but one of your pieces of hardware may be faulty. Hope everyone can resolve their issues!

2023-01-05T07:48:41+00:00 After many months the problem was solved by Asus (half-heartedly). Apparently the Ryzen CPU on my laptop (or a solder/sound chip) was defective. So after replacing the mobo the issues went away magically. Now I am stuck without my built-in webcam not working (for whatever reason), but at least I have no more crashes. Not sure if the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U was just a lemon or if QC during the Covid supply-chain madness let this one slip through.

2022-11-17T22:33:02+00:00 I feel you. My PC's brand new. All the hardware's been tested, this issue is absolutely on Microsoft's end, but good luck getting them to pay enough attention to fix it.

2022-11-08T19:14:09+00:00 Been getting crashes for a few months now, with the GameInput reconfiguration message coinciding every time to the second. Glad to see Microsoft's as on-top of things as ever.
