Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Microsoft GameInput. Product Version: 10.1.22621.1011. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation crashes PC

Any solutions known? I've looked and nothing has worked so far but they are old posts. This has been a problem for years now and the muppets at microsoft have done **** to fix it.

I've never installed a webcam on my machine.

I do use a Logitec Web cam. It might be a link as I don't think it was the exact same day that I connected it but it could be.

I've never had it running when the crash happened. It was connected but never running as far as I can recall.

Dammit CE, I was about to light a fire and then I saw your post, oops, delete, delete, delete...

Didn't work. Just had another reset...

Another Q - are you guys using webcams? If so are they Logitech?

You can go look up how to view the dmp files (I think I used Bluescreenview or something of the sort) and mine came out to be something about being denied access to a privileged location in memory.

It was pretty clunky and I wasn't a fan of having to try external tools. Not to mention no one did anything with my info anyways.

I might go look into it again if someone responds to the post and wants to see.

    Hey

Yes, have Xbox installed - although when I had uninstalled it I was still getting the crashes. No ds4windows, but I do have steam.

    Just had my Bi-daily too...

Just a little more info for you all. My time on the PC is largely spent on Teams calls during the day and so this is when the "reconfiguration" tends to occur; I have noticed that just before it happens I have issues with my Logitech USB C webcam. I can see the image in LogiCapture, but Teams refuses to pick up on the feed despite cycling inputs and whatnot. Then, about 2 mins into the next Teams call, the computer resets... I only notice this behaviour just before a gameinput BSOD, it doesn't occur at any other time.

I've also found a kernel error which related to "failed USB enumeration" at the same time as a gameinput reconfig.

I haven't tried a Windows reinstall but apparently that doesn't even solve the problem? That's a bit worrying!
