MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 (RZ616) driver keeps crashing and I get an error message this device cannot start. (code 10). This has been happening pretty often and I have even tried a full factory reset. The issue still persists. I have reinstalled the driver multiple times and still face the issue. The temporary fix is to do a power cycle.

Kindly provide a permanent solution if anyone has one. I am using an Asus ROG Stix G17 (2022) and Windows 11.

    The issue atleast with ROG Strix G513RC series hasn’t occurred again .. although the Wi-Fi performance suffers if you move further away from the wireless router. I also have done a complete reinstall of the OS .. still performance suffers. I have written to ASUS CEOs desk .. unfortunately they haven’t responded. I actually wanted to return the laptop within 7 days as DOA .. however decided not to do so as I really like the laptop minus Wi-Fi and have taken extended warranty for 3 years.

    Wi-Fi card is already built in ..unless you are looking to attach an external USB Wi-Fi, which is not recommended. Also ASUS doesn’t offer any customisation on the selection of the Wi-Fi card ..at least not in India. Looks like it’s a global issue so I would suggest to return and do with Dell laptops.

    Just posting another update. WI-FI failed again for no reason. The only way to get it back up and running is to reboot the laptop. Only this time - Driver didn't fail. This has become a consistent issue now where the WIFI fails for no reason. I have now raised a customer support request again, lets see what they diagnose.
