My Win 11 PC won't wake up from sleep using the keyboard or mouse.

My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

Unfortunately we only have 3 blue USB ports. Never knew there was a difference (blue and black) . We’ve just told the laptop to not sleep. Wish the designers would have made sure this wouldn’t be an issue when it was designed. Hope a fix comes in at some point with a windows update.

It appears that it matters if you are old (blue) usb ports vs new (black) usb ports. Trying to debug it. More tomorrow.

Microsoft support says it is a HW issue. I am on Intel Beelink SEI.

If I am missing a solution already entered please reply and I apologize.

I'm set up with closed laptop lid, USB keyboard/mouse, and an external display (do not prefer duplicate displays). The laptop finally woke up without having to open the lid and hit the power button. Appears it will continue to perform in this manner. thank you for this solution.

Justingo, it sounds like your computer puts bluetooth to sleep when it goes to sleep. I am not sure how you would keep that on. It could be a BIOS setting or a Windows power setting.
