My Win 11 PC won't wake up from sleep using the keyboard or mouse.

My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

try going into your bios/uefi and change power settings to be controlled by the OS to BIOS so that you get S1 S2 S3 settings for wake-up. ie, mine did not work with OS selected as the wake-up control so I switched to BIOS to control the wake-up settings.

I have found a different solution to my MS Surface laptop and win 11 problems. I just bought a new MacBook. Fantastic machine. Lots of learning to do, but can do it uninterrupted without 2-10 automatic shutdown and reboots or shutdown lockups each day. Wish now I had tried this years ago. The little Mac is multiple times faster on the internet setting side by side with my Win machines also. I can jump between sites or pages without any hesitation like with windows. Gotta learn how to do my photos from my cameras on it though, completely different there, but the Win MS surface laptop works fine as long as I don't go online where MS can shut it down and update it without prior notice.

Unfortunately this option isn't available to PC's without a battery. Sooo frustrating!
