Windows 11 does not detect my Nvidia graphics card

Hi,

I have been using Windows 11 for quite some time, Suddenly one day I see my secondary Nvidia graphics card is not detected. Its not displayed in Device manager (even if I select "show hidden devices").

Also, in device manager below System component is showing error code 10.

I tried reinstalling graphics card driver. Driver reinstallation does not detect my Nvidia graphics card.

I tried updating driver for above PCIe controller. But is already up to date.

I have not changed anything in BIOS. I tried defaulting the Bios values but dint work. ( My Nvidia card is detected in BIOS, only windows 11 has problem)

I tried backing out recent windows updates, dint work. I again updated all latest updates and optional driver updates suggested, dint work.

Since the card is detected in Bios, I am assuming its not an issue with hardware.

I have been doing some research, and in many places I see the PCIe controller issue associated with detection of graphics card.

Please help me resolve this issue.

    Hi SIBI,
    This is Tamal trying to answer your question.
    As you have mentioned there is an issue with the PCIE driver with error code 10, uninstall the same. NVIDIA GPU is connected to some of the PCIE slot might have issues.
    If the issue persists it could be a hardware problem as well. BIOS does not need full PCIE bandwidth to run a pcie device but windows driver require.
    Uninstall pcie device if any under hidden devices as well & restart the PC, then check if the GPU returns back there

    Thanks for your reply.

    I have updated my Windows 11 to Version 22H2 couple of weeks back. After this there was no issues wrt Graphics card. I got this issue with graphics card not detecting only 2 days back.

    Yesterday, after driver updates dint work, I have used System restore to backout last update (Version 22H2).

    This did not help me in fixing the issue.

    Some forums advised me to update windows to latest version and install all optional driver updates suggested by Windows. So, I updated windows again to Version 22H2 and installed all optional updates. This did not help me as well.

    Hi Sibi,

    I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

    If the issue just happened recently, I will first suggest that you use System Restore to restore your Windows to the point before the issue persists.

    To open System Restore, Press Windows Key + R > Type and enter: rstrui.exe.
