Windows 11--most recently opened Explorer window keeps popping up into the foreground

The OP and most comments here are about an already-open File Explorer window coming from the background to the foreground. But in my case, I don't even use File Explorer (I have Directory Opus Pro) - at random, something (Windows?) will actually launch File Explorer. Is that the same bug or something different? It seems to do it in spurts - one day it will do it several times, and then not do it at all for days or even weeks. No, I'm not hitting any hotkeys - when it happened just now, I was watching a YouTube video in Firefox and not even touching the computer.

Yep. I'm a Windows Insider, and have been testing their fix. Instead of popping up a window that steals focus, the fix now pops up a window for 1 frame then disappears, without stealing focus. An improvement that no longer interferes with my gaming and shouldn't interfere with productivity, but ... still not perfect.

I'd expect the release channel to get the fix when 23H2 releases later this year, even though I've tried to push for a quicker fix.

Update after update, yet this bug remains unfixed.

I'm not sure Microsoft has even acknowledged this is a problem, in which case so far as they're concerned there's nothing to fix.

I disagree. The more complaints are being raised and are clearly visible to your potential customers, especially, if you write them in these kinds of posts related to your next release:

The more likely you will pay attention to it and try to fix it. Why? Because it can hurt your brand/image. Microsoft is selling themselves as the productivity experts these days with all their new AI solutions. However, these kinds of unproductive bugs will likely affect any productivity gain that their AI tools can give us. That's why, when I raise a complaint or create a new post, I always speak about productivity, not other potential topics that might mislead my point and their current brand as the productivity/AI experts. But I'm also honest with myself, not many people will be crazy enough to go so public, but if more people do it, the more likely it will be fixed.

yeah that absolutely has been debunked already, not that it was a bad idea or anything.

the problem with that logic is that you'd hear the hardware disconnect/connect sound if that was the case...which never happened
my mouse disconnects because its got a faulty RGB array inside of it so it surges sometimes whenever i have it plugged directly into the PC, again it gives me that little "do do" sound letting me know it disconnected and i always look to see if it was my mouse because the cursor freezes up for a split second whenever it happens (thank you ADHD)

my external HDD doesn't do this (my games would crash while playing them if it did because 95% of my games are on the external drive)

anyone got any other suggestions that we haven't already heard and tried?
