My Snip tool used to bring the image I captured in a pop up automatically, that I could edit when using the windows key & Ctrl S. It no longer does this? Is there a setting I need to change? I have to actually open the Snip Tool Menu to get this to work now. Not sure if some update was done by my IT people that changed this.

My print screen button (or if I go to snip) doesn't allow me to edit anymore - it doesn't go to clipboard history, they only thing I can do is copy. I tried instructions shown above and like the other answer I see there - it changed nothing. This just randomly started a couple of weeks ago
Not sure if this solution has already been posted this solution. This is what I figured out so that I can access the Snipping Tool app immediately after taking a screenshot.
Open the actual Snipping Tool app. This can be done by pressing (Windows Key + S), type Snipping Tool into the search bar and when it pops up as a result, click "Open." Go into "Settings" turn off the option to "Automatically Save Original Screenshots."
That is what fixed the issue for me. Now when I take a screenshot by pressing Windows Key + Shift + S key, I get a pop-up notification in the lower right hand corner of my screen for the Snipping Tool app with a button "Markup and Share." When you click on that button, it opens up your screenshot in the Snipping Tool app.
However, for the pop-up to work, you must have notifications enabled for the Snipping Tool app. This is not a setting in the Snipping Tool app. The notifications setting are accessed through Windows Settings (Settings>System>Notifications)
