Windows 11 surround 5.1 doesn't work on the back channel

hi

i have a fresh installed system, with:

motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II

Nvidia 3060 v2

i have a classic 5.1 with 3 connectors, my issue is that only if a game for example cyberpunk 2077 and when i use VLC i can hear that all 5.1 channels are woking fine.

but, everywere else on the system the 5.1 doesn't work, like, firefox, spotify, netflix windows app etc...

i tried to changange some settings but nothing changed, tried to reinstall to, change the drivers but nothing to do.

tried to change setting on the Realtheck Audio Control programm, it's worst the i immagined ... the dB setting, the distance and all whe switches are not working

the only way to change the dB was to change it in the advanced audio proprieties.

My issue is that the surround system is not working with firefox, spotify and onther programs.

I have searched on the web since 1 month, and i'm writing here for desparation, because i can't find a solution for this mistery.

    Nobody knows what switches you randomly pressed.

    But between page 1 when you said Netflix Windows app didn't work to page 4 when Netflix Windows app did work, you did something. And then between page 1 when VLC did work to page 7 when VLC didn't work, you also did something.

    I didn't make these things up, they are all in your comments.

    you took avery post that i wrote witout considering exactly the poit when i started to contact the asus support, and i clean installed the PC and followed exactly their isntruction. everything from the first posts until page 5 is to forget that it exists.

    with your reply you just confirmed that you don't have a clue what are the stantard settings and options to let it work.

    Enter your computer bios settings

    go to the section Advanced\ CPU Configuration\ CPU- Power Management Control

    head down to Acoustic Noise Settings left click to enter that section or press enter depending on your system.

    click enable Acoustic Noise Mitigation then just leave everything else in their default now click back to get back to the advanced screen.

    Follow this up by going to the section advanced\ Onboard Devices Configuration check and enable the HD Audio feature.

    If any part of your Audio speaks are using USB port you may want to ensure all legacy usb ports are enabled too as there could be clashing with another device causing abnormal play back sound.

    there is also possiblility Audio jacks plugs are not designed for the audio ports on the motherboard too.
