Windows 11 surround 5.1 doesn't work on the back channel

hi

i have a fresh installed system, with:

motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II

Nvidia 3060 v2

i have a classic 5.1 with 3 connectors, my issue is that only if a game for example cyberpunk 2077 and when i use VLC i can hear that all 5.1 channels are woking fine.

but, everywere else on the system the 5.1 doesn't work, like, firefox, spotify, netflix windows app etc...

i tried to changange some settings but nothing changed, tried to reinstall to, change the drivers but nothing to do.

tried to change setting on the Realtheck Audio Control programm, it's worst the i immagined ... the dB setting, the distance and all whe switches are not working

the only way to change the dB was to change it in the advanced audio proprieties.

My issue is that the surround system is not working with firefox, spotify and onther programs.

I have searched on the web since 1 month, and i'm writing here for desparation, because i can't find a solution for this mistery.

    When NONE of windows's built-in apps (including the edge browser, windows 11's windows media player and groove music player) work with sonic studio 3's upmix, when chrome that has multi-billion installations also doesn't work --- then of course it is sonic studio 3's problem.

    so, you are telling me that ASUS is BS me? because they know of this issue and don't have time to fix it ?

    You really have no concept of how the real world works.

    You do realize that chrome has a 66% of the worldwide internet browser market share and everybody uses youtube.

    So it it not chrome/youtube's fault when things don't work with them.

    It's the other way around. If your sonic studio 3 software doesn't work with chrome and youtube.com, then it's asus' fault.

    it can be that firefox chrome edge IE spotify, didn't set up the compatibilty with sonic studio and realteck audio console.

    asus support told me that

    "Gentile Cliente,

    In merito a quanto segnalato, come segnalato dal reparto competente della casa madre, gli errori da Lei segnalati (firefox non viene rilevato da Sonic studio, opzioni non funzionanti con spotify),  sono causati da limitazioni legate ai software usati (es. Spotify, Firefox), non sono causati dal driver o dal software Sonic Studio."

    "Dear Customer,
    As reported, as reported by the competent department of the parent company, errors reported by you (firefox is not detected by Sonic studio, options not working with spotify), are caused by limitations related to used software (e.g. Spotify, Firefox), are not caused by Sonic Studio driver or software."

    So the other software has limitations do talk with otehr software.

    This can be a BIG issue between companies

    If you also can't do it in chrome and edge browser, then it is a sonic studio 3 issue. Simple as that.
