Hi, same problem, but I don't see any options, just the "Enable audio enhancement" ticked box. Nothing happens if I tick/untick it.
how to enable sound equalization in windows 11
I am attempting to enable audio equalization for windows 11. I followed a video tutorial, by downloading the latest Realtek audio driver, then opening my sound settings and enabling the equalizer. I am not given this option. I see no equalizer selection in my sound settings. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
bigbeardedbuddy.

2023-03-18T15:18:25+00:00 Hello Enrico,
Realtek is the audio Processor(Microprocessor) on your system.
A compatible driver would have been installed by Microsoft Windows(It automatically reinstalls if you uninstalled).
What you now need, is a software to tweak how the driver operates the device.
If you give me the model number, I can search the exact application you'd need.
To enable these, you'll need to disable Windows' default enhancements.
You may try Equalizer APO, it's open-source.
FxSoundhas good reviews on Microsoft Store.
Dolby Atmos is paid.
There are many more.
Please let me know your Laptop's Model number and we can pin down the proprietary application that came with it.
Regards,
Madhav Singh
