how to enable sound equalization in windows 11

I am attempting to enable audio equalization for windows 11. I followed a video tutorial, by downloading the latest Realtek audio driver, then opening my sound settings and enabling the equalizer. I am not given this option. I see no equalizer selection in my sound settings. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

bigbeardedbuddy.

I really don't know why it is so hard to understand this issue which I explained in detail.

    1. windows 11 computers should come with audio drivers with audio configuration app downloaded from microsoft store
    2. you configure your audio with the audio configuration app
    3. enhancements tab doesn't exist in windows 11
    4. your configuration app should have the 10 band EQ, loudness equalization, environment..
    5. if you don't have those things in your configuration app, then they are moved to another app (dell audio, dell optimizer, mydell, acer purified voice, myasus..) or premium audio app (DTS, dolby, nahimic, icepower, soundblaster...) or they decided NOT giving it to you
    6. if you can't find them, ask your computer manufacturer.

Notice NONE of which have anything to do with Microsoft or windows 11.

If your manufacturer said that they didn't put it in on purpose, then complain to them. For example, Nahimic app used to NOT have the 10 band EQ. Nahimic's official stance was that Nahimic preferred you to use their "smart pre-sets". Read the complaints in the comments section.

    https://nahimic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021550451-Where-can-I-find-EQ-on-Nahimic-

Then after several years and millions of complaints later, Nahimic finally put the 10 band EQ in their app.

None of your previous replies said anything about downloading the Realtek app from the store. Windows does not come with it. Enhancements tab exists for the output device, there is just no equalizer option.

You just said that if the sound settings do not have an EQ then you must have some premium software that has it's own software, which most of the people here like me do not have.

That's because you don't have to download it from the Microsoft Store.

When you installed these new realtek audio driver correctly, the realtek audio console will be "bought" for you automatically. MSI just tell you to install the realtek audio driver.

You can immediately launch microsoft store to install the app, Or you can wait 1 or 2 hours and the microsoft store will install the app for you behind your back automatically. MSI only tells you to go to Microsoft Store to download/install the realtek audio console app IF it is not already installed on your computer.

Excellent - I followed the link. Turned off Waves MaxxAudio Pro application and amazingly all the sound on my Dell Laptop were preforming like they should. I was looking for an equalizer to reduce the high frequencies and the issue is now solved. I thought I had bought a laptop with dud speakers, but it was just poor setup from time of installation.
