how to enable sound equalization in windows 11

I am attempting to enable audio equalization for windows 11. I followed a video tutorial, by downloading the latest Realtek audio driver, then opening my sound settings and enabling the equalizer. I am not given this option. I see no equalizer selection in my sound settings. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

bigbeardedbuddy.

Alas, the system has neither Realtek folder nor RtkGUI64.exe.

    Thanks for the reply!

The Realtek sound manager (sound effects, equalizer ...) is part of the driver and should be still a part of your system. You can find it at 'c:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA' - maybe you can start the GUI with the RtkGUI64.exe - Once started you will find the setup/Option in the headline and activate "Show symbol ..." check box.

Sir -- The Realtek equalizer that was part of earlier windows versions is gone. Unsure why. Many other apps you might use for audio have their own equalizer, for example VLC and windows media player. Or, you can get "FxSound" from microsoft store - it registers as an output device..
