Hello

I am using Windows 11 Pro VER 22H2. Windows update, downloads and installs "Intel Corporation - SoftwareComponent - 1.1122.713.2"

and by next boot, it does this again.

I am in the infinite loop of download and install "Intel Corporation - SoftwareComponent - 1.1122.713.2"

What can I do?

    For me this looks like a bug in the Driver installer for the Intel Performance Suite:

    Checking the "Application "eventlog reveals an event-id 16 with error text "The Directory cannot be removed", but checking the detailed XML-info from that events says "Platform Invalid - Uninstalling", which means that MS tries to install that driver package, but the package-installer from Intel refuses to install on that variant of the chipset (for me its an HP Zbook) and starts a rollback of the installation.

    I was searching the driver in the "Microsoft Update Catalog", downloaded and extracted that CAB-file and installed the driver manually via the INF-file, but the error is exactly the same. We need to wait for a fix on the MS-side. Hopefully MS and Intel will do a better coordination of such installers in the future.
