I am Having Issues Changing My App Recommendation Settings

I am having lots of trouble with my app recommendations, whenever I try to open up a certain app (Discord, Steam, Roblox Studios, Etc.) it says I need to change my app recommendations or use apps from the Microsoft store. When I click on that link it gives saying 'Change My app recommendations' It takes me to settings in the apps category under 'installed apps' but there is nothing in there that says that I can change the recommendations. I have continuously searched the web, and the same thing comes up every time (Click start, go to settings, click on 'apps' and find the installed apps section, finally choose where to get apps). I even have looked at screenshots where it shows something saying 'choose where to get apps' but there is actually nothing there that says that for me. I don't understand if this is a bug, or if something is just wrong with my settings. I was wondering if someone could look into it, and if I need to show evidence I can. This is very annoying for me. All I ask for is some help and Thank You! (My version is i3 and it is a HP 14 Laptop 30J32AV)

    I am so frustrated!! I cannot get my cricut up and going because of this stupid message I'm getting from MICROSOFT! I don't know how to change approval for Microsoft to accept the app. I am sorry I gave up my MAC.

    What the hell is S mode.

    theres 2 hours of my life wasted - still no progress

    Setttings > Apps > Advanced App Settings - change first setting from "microsoft store"

    and someone fix the links so it points to the right spot rather than just settings - !@#%!@$%!@$%@

    I'm glad your problem has been solved. Generally speaking, in order to improve security and performance, Windows 10 in S mode can only run applications provided by Microsoft Store. To install applications from outside the Microsoft Store, you need to quit the S mode permanently. There is no charge for exiting S mode, but the mode cannot be restored after exiting. If you are prevented from quitting, and the device belongs to the organization, please check with the administrator. Organizations can choose to keep all devices in S mode at all times.
